I recently purchased a 93 LX 4-cylinder a couple weeks ago. I was wondering what I could do to make it sound more masculine?

When I had my v6 I put a intake on it then put a dual exhaust on it it gave it more power and a deeper sound.they make the mufflers bolt on. Make sure its made for your mustang.this will give u the sound and power u want. Or you can go real cheap and getto and just put a new tip at end of exhaust.

I just saw that it was a 4cyl. Really? Sell and upgrade if you can. I have a cobra now

fox body v8 are usually twisted and may have stress cracks, 4 cyl bodies are the best bets for engine swapping

I still live at home. My parents would not allow me to get a 5.0 because they felt that I couldn't handle it. I plan to change my rear end to an 8.8, change the gear to a 4:10, and put in a turbo from an 80's model thunderbird tc. Right now I do not have the money for all of that. I don't want to turn it into a ricer like all the other uneducated people where I live. I plan to change the exhaust and muffler, something like a flow master 40.

with the 2.3 adding a muffler will not do much, i say save your money for school or something and drive it as is, with a 4 cyl. you will get decent gas mileage. and the cost and problems of putting a turbo on a used engine arent worth the trouble either, listen to mom and dad, insurance is cheaper too.

one thing i forgot, just changing the muffler will kame it sound like one of those 'rice burners'

I agree, your better off swapping engines rather than putting a turbo.

Since you are at home still,I would just put the intake and exhaust. Rear gears if you still want more. I would just wait and save then sell it and upgrade to a gt.you can get an older model rather cheap.the stuff you want to add plus your car would add up to getn the gt at the end. Just buy my car.
