I have a 2000 ford mustang 3.8l v6 and i was wondering what are some things that i could purchase to add some decent power to my v6, other than superchargers and turbos?

Smog legal headers and intake kits. You can add small amounts of power with various mods but by the time you are done you still won't have the power of a base V8 and you will have spent a lot of money.

Headers & intake wont do much without a perf. camshaft & kit, You're limited on lift & duration because of your flat top pistons. & low flow cylinder heads. But if you must & are serious 10 - 20 degrees over stock will be OK & give you more torque.

Have a cylinder head shop modify your heads. The skys the limit, & use the valve springs that comes with the cam kit, have it ported & polished, a valve job, etc. depending on your budget. I'd do up a another pair from a salvage yard, piece by piece & put them on later. Your intake, cam & kit, headers, will work so much better with modified heads. after all you're making your low perf. V6 into a high perf motor! Phase II, buy & install better forged higer compression pop-up pistons. It's possible to squeeze 300 hp from a 3.8 V6.
