Okay, since I've been looking at S320s to buy, here's what can go wrong: 1. Engine wiring harness (biodegradable wiring insulation material just rotted away) Corroded biodegradable mirror harness wires (requires new mirror @$300 per mirror). Short out the seat and the steering post adjuster, blows fuses over and over. 2. Mass airflow meter 3. Worn suspension parts causing vibration (tie rod ends, ball joints) 4. CV boots 5. When were timing and other belts replaced? 6. Auto-leveling device worn? 7. Check for plugged fuel cannister in back of car. 8. AC evaporator working? Replacement costs $4,000! 9. Head gasket going? Replacement costs $2,000. 10. Check operation of switches for sunroof. 11. Ensure all instrument lights are working (may require replacement, which means cluster has to be removed). 12. Check for clunk in transmission as it shifts through gears. Idle could be set too high. Shaft collar defective? 13. Catalytic converter. Replacement is close to $2,000. Hope this helps.
