Question type: General

How big was the gas tank on the car and what was the fuel mileage??

Hi again schoolkid! Same engine so while we don't have specs on that, and seeing the 440 V* was listed at a robust 9 mpg, I'm going to guess even less for the hemi. The capacity of the 1970 Charger's fuel tank was 19 gallons. Good luck!

I just missed to buy a 69 hemi charger and the owner told me 1 km / 1 lt. Consider 1.6 km / 1 mile and almost 4 lt / 1 gal. Just do your math!

Do you know what it feels like to watch your gas gauge move in real time? There's your answer. They didn't get gas mileage like we view it today. This was a gallons per mile ..... er make that gallons per ten second interval type of situation. They did love their fuel. Cheaper to drive a semi.

I get about 4.5 mpg, but if I shut off one of the dual quads, it gets about 10 mpg
