Question type: Car Customization

my 440 magnum is a very basic big power house.
i was wondering what modifications i should get to it to make it look much better, cleaner and have an over all more powerful, faster engine.

I wouldn't change a whole lot. You can get a lot of Mopar factory accessories, chrome, etc., from most Dodge dealers. These really make the engine look nice. If you want to get into more power, there are all kinds of things you can do, but to be honest, that car is probably worth quite a bit just as it is. Modifications might only detract from the vehicle's appeal.

alright thank-you. so adding some edlebrock heads valve cover timing belt cover and a new carb should do the trick?!?

The first mod for a V-8 are headers and it´s the best to improve sound and power. I´ve been using a set of Hedman Hedders for many years and they are excellent. Check this option and if they are legal where you are and if so, go ahead, make your day!

i to own a 73 charger, but i haven't built my 440 yet, but if you want max power, there are a few ways to easily get it. but note you well most likely have about 3-4 mpg. first you either go old school with a 6 pack, (3 2-barrel carbs), fuel injection (possible your best bet), 1 demon 1080 4-barrel carb with a high rize manofold, next eldibrooke heads but don't get cast iron, then get a monster cam. now if you build up your engine you have to get a good transmission, a 727 4speed-manual with a shift kit.

No mods is best. 1973 400 going for $11,092 https://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=1335499

Leave it alone and just use it as a cruiser- buy a Duster and put in a 408 stroker
