Make sure the radiator is not blocked, heater core as well. Are you using a fan shroud with the correct fan?
I'll bet it's a 400 not a 440 . If the 5th digit of the vin # is a T or a U then it's a 440 . You didn't put the thermostat in upside down did you ? the spring side of thermostat should go into the water pump . 180 Degrees is the one you want not 190 like the specs say . Was the water you drained out of it before replacing the 'stat rusty or clean ? May need flushed . also check fan clutch , if you can wiggle the fan front to back it's time for a new clutch ...PBN
