1987 Dodge Charger 2.2 Automatic, 2bbl Carburtor, stalling, rough idle or no idle

Any suggestions, this car has been completely tuned up plugs, cap, rotor, wires, and all filters. New gas tank & straps, fuel lines. We ave fuel pressure car starts and runs for 20 seconds and boggs out?  We thought it was the Catillatic converter, but that was removed ealier today, and did have issues, but wasn't clogged as expected.

1987 models didn't have carbs. they were fuel injected. If it has a carb someone changed it. If so ,buy a new one. If it's fuel injected, try spraying a cleaner into the throttle body. Hope this was helpfull.

Thanks for your responce gerry, Yes , 1987 Dodge Charger did come with carburtored 2.2's, You must have been thinking of the supercharged model that year. We figured out our problem was a leaky EGR valve, mostly caused due to the valve is rotted out and not functioning.

try changing the carb base plate, they are known to warp. even if it "looks" fine it could be the cause of your problem.
