parking light problem

Asked by Guru3W113 Jul 01, 2020 at 08:49 AM about the 1972 Dodge Dart

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the parking lights remain on after the engine & light switches are shut off. the
car had a new, spare headlight switch when I bought it. I replaced the switch
but that did not solve the problem. pulling fuse or disconnecting battery is the
only way to get light off. what is next step{s} ??

Is it both the front and rear parking lights? If just the rear I would check the brake light switch @ the brake pedal as it may b the brake lights on and not the park lights.
