1985 dodge D50 3 starter/solenoids in 2yrs....ugh!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1985 dodge D50 with a 4cyl...
In the past 2 years I have replaced my starter/solenoid 3 times...each time it's the same
problem, it starts clicking like its a bad solenoid. If I keep turning the key on and off really
fast I can get it to finally start. I think that it's electrical not the solenoid that keeps going
bad.  What/where should I look/do next?  All imput is greatly appreciated!

CHECK THE CABLE FROM BATTERY TO STARTER AND ALSO THE LITTLE WIRE FROM IGNITION TO STARTER, IF GOOD CHECK GROUND, THE TERMINALS DO GIVE SOME PROBLEMS SOME TIME,
