Engine cranks but won't start

If lightning bolt symbol, that is electronic throttle control. I found this info in your owners manual. Mopar.com has your owners manual, it's free to read online. I'd have to check for applicable trouble codes and go from there?
Did you check for spark? Fuel? Need to go to the basics.

Mine is doing the same thing what was the problem did u get it fixed
Got the same thing going on. Went to turn it on and it just cranked but wouldn't fire up. I listened for the fuel pump and it was working. I ended up taking the fuel tank down and seen that the a vacuum hose going to the check valve on the tank was broke. I sealed it all back up then went to try and still wouldn't fire up so I scanned it. Got the code p2601 which is coolant circut. I don't have any leaks is any of my lines could it just be the coolant temperature sensor making it not start or could it be the water pump. I've been stuck on this for awhile now and beinging to get hopeless. Any feedback would be great.
I would lean towards the coolant temp.switch,But you have been checking fuel,do you have fuel at the injectors?injector pulse?did you check for spark? Did you check the ASD relay under hood in fuse box???
Did you ever figure out the problem ? I have the same problem mine started after I replaced my starter and the yellow wire came out of the plug for the solenoid. If it wouldn't start I would have to move the plug around and then it would start . Now I am having the problem again but I can't seem to get it started and my fuel pump won't kick on . I know my fuel pump is good but I don't think its getting a signal from the solenoid .Any help would be greatly appreciated.
i am having the same issue need help plz

Same boat as Sean right now...pulled plug to check for spark first thing...it was soaking wet and weak spark...new plug less spark...fuel rail sometimes has fuel...today pressure tester never budged...starting fluid fired and stalled...all relays and fuses good...all grounds wire brushed, cleaned, and greased...no codes...cel is on...lamp out is on...airbag light is on...fuel tank full...crankshaft and camshaft sensors replaced...oil pressure sensor replaced...

Im in the same boat as yall. ihad it up on the lift and was replacing the manifold gasket and bolts. Finished up, started it fine and went to bed. go out the next morning put tire on and go to back put of garage but it wont start. I check for codes, none. check every single fuse in the poor excuse for a fuse box... none. read through online literature and replace oil switch, crankshaft and camshaft position sensor. nothing. I can hear fuel pump and have spark and fuel pressure. WTF... thinking it is the TIPM, but Im not ready to drop 400 more into it just to find out im wrong.

Mine was the fuel pump went out...Now a bunch of vacuum codes so im wondering if loss of vacuum makes the fuel pump work harder then it burns out...

That shouldnt be the case. How much trouble was it dropping gas tank?
So where are the answers for the crank but no start issues with the 05 ram 1500
Seems that no one can Answer the questions . This page is like looking in a black hole
Mine was fuel pump. I checked power wire going to fuel pump and it had power.
fuel pump is bad best way is to take truck bed off held by 6 screw and a ground wire on passenger side and tail lights or you can drop the gas tank i just did the truck bed seemed simple enough for me
Two main things I found with the same issue and two different times. Most recently my Dodge ram 2500 would not crank, was running fine when I parked it, then would not fire back up all the rengine would roll over. I open the fuse lid and changed places of the trailer relay and the starter relay. And behold it fired up smooth as a whistle.
The other issue I had was the same as the first as far as the starting went. It had become slow to start a year ago, eventually wouldn’t start at all. I diagnosed the fuel pump was bad. Bought a new one online really cheap. Instead of removing the tank I simply remove the two bolts on the side of the tank under the bed. Loosen the other side of the bed and use the hydraulic jack to lift up the bed on the tank side. This provide easy access to the top of the fuel tank and changed the pump out without removing the fuel. Timed myself start to finish, it took 35 minutes. The truck fired right up
Starter relay was my problem today. Acts like a bad fuel pump, rolls over but wot fire up.
Change this starter relay in the fuse box under the hood
I changed the idle air control valve crank sensor cam sensor new fuel pump and sending unit and still have the same problems I end up changing all eight of my plugs and Wallah I the truck started and stay running for 9 months now
OK..First my truck is an 2006 Mega Cab 1500 5.7.--completely different from the rest. My truck went from driving to not starting in one swoop.. The short of this is NO codes, from odometer to 2 different readers. Didnt know if TIPM or fuel pump, hard to tell if TIPM is sending power or pump went dead. TIPM does not have a relay on the board--all solid state so after putting that back together--searched for wiring diagram, GOOD LUCK!! Thankfully working for a excellent Aviation company a co-worker, best Avionics tech in the business, was able to find a person who uploaded a dealer repair shop wiring diagram... There is an Orange/Red wire, pin 18pf on connector 10---FIND THIS WIRE ON DRIVER SIDE FRAME RAIL in the protective tubing..stick the wire with an avionics pin, find a good ground and then have someone turn the key..12+ volts?? good TIPM change your pump-- NO voltage--TIPM REBUILDERS (MAKS) IS THE WAY TO GO.
What. Would. Keep. My. 2000 Dodge. Ram. 1500. V6. From. Fireing
Had all of the issues y'all had and I ended up just changing the spark plugs and now it runs great. Do it when the engine is cold though. Might break the plugs if the engine is hot, due to heat expansion.

Check for clogged up catalytic converter. If the exhaust can’t get out it won’t start. Had this same problem. Wouldn’t start after replacing to many parts to list. Got a tip and cut it just behind the rear o2 sensor and she cranked a minute then fired up.
I’m having the same issue. Replaced alternator, coil packs, spark plugs, checked fuel pump it was working, new battery and it won’t crank. Just keeps turning over. It’s a new truck I just got it. 2005 4.7L 77k miles on it. One time it did start but it basically backfired from the back of the engine and i saw smoke coming out of the intake pipe. Next week get it home. Same thing but no backfire or smoke. No CEL either
I had the same issues, changed the starter, nothing. I was about to go through all the components when I discovered that the battery cable that bolts to the side of fuse panel under the hood was loose. It would sometimes start but always turned over with plenty of juice. A couple days ago I realized that when I locked the doors remotely the horn barely made a sound. Hope that some of you are as lucky as I feel right now and just have the same issue as I had. It was about to get expensive
