2001 Ram cranks but won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Ram 1500. It ran yesterday but today it won't start. It cranks
and a couple times it fired right after I let off the ignition but it didn't stay
running (or even really try and stay running.) I can hear the fuel pump start
up when I turn the key to on so I don't think it is that. I checked a couple
different fuses and didn't see any that had a problem but I could be missing
something there. I'm in the process of changing the plugs. Mileage wise it's
about time for that but the couple I have pulled don't really seem bad enough
to work fine one day and not at all the next. If anyone w more experience
has any ideas, or just common issues related to make and model that could
be causing this I could use the help. I'm pretty stumped.

Things should be tested , test for spark and proper fuel pressure and injector pulse , some vehicles are particular about proper fuel pressure , just having it won't do .
