2007 Dodge 1500 ram truck cranks but won't start

The fuel pump comes on we can hear
it start when the key is turned on, when
I crank the engine it acts like it wants
to start then kinda coughs and dies.
When I try again it just keeps
crankinking without catching. After it
sits awhile and I turn on and off
ignition several times it fires but dies
right after it starts. I'm getting fuel
from pump to rail and don't have
enough money to go part by part. Can
you help.

I’m having the same issue with my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7! It ran and drove fine until The alternator went out and it drained my battery. So I got a new battery and alternator put in and now I try to start the truck and it will just crank.. I’m at a loss as well brother!
