I have a 1970 VW Beetle that was running great when I parked it a few years ago. It doesn't start now. What could I sell it for, as is, in Dallas, TX?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

The body is in fairly good shape, but rusted from below the battery.  It was originally light blue, but we had it painted dark blue, which has gone bad over the years.  We are the original owners of this car.

I was the owner of a 64 Bug. It had a very new engine then I parked it for a year. They are know for engine freezing up if they are not started and used. Mine did the same thing. As for the rust under the battery, it could have a very rusty chassis, depending on if it was stored outside all the time? As for value you can check www.nadaguides.com. Good Day Wade

I have no idea what the market value for a 1964 VW Beetle these days, but I can tell you that whatever it was worth - it's worth less now without the engine in good running order.
