What is the worth of a VW Beetle 1971 fair condition ,some rust. needs some mechanical work?

these questions come up alot. the value depends mostly on the location of the car. if it's in california, i would say the value would be around $500 depending on where the rust is, and the mechanical work needed. if the car is in the northwest the value would be higher, but probably not over $1000. best bet is to look at the classifieds and search the internet for cars in the same condition and roughly in the same area and compair. bad as i hate to say it, vw's afte 1967 are worth less than the older ones. a 1971 really isn't collectible in the vw community.

I’m holding onto this 1971 VW SuperBeetle; first of It’s Kind. I can only hope it will make good one day in the future. Only trouble to be fixed, is that Jubilee has rust issues on the frame bed. One Day, I will get that taken care of.
