I have a 1971 VW Beetle that has been stored since 1988 (24yrs) in TX in a barn that I would like to tow to colorado (800mi). I have the tow bar. I can get the tires replaced. What needs to be done for towing? Front wheel bearings greased? Rear wheels? Should I get a car dolly and tow with rear wheels on dolly? I can't tow a full size auto trailer (too much GW). Any suggestions or cautions? 2 Answers
