Rebuild or replace

Asked by Manofsteel72 Apr 01, 2017 at 10:16 PM about the 2007 Subaru Legacy

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 07 Subaru legacy. Ran the oil dry and think the motor is
blown. Should I rebuild or replace with another motor and how much
should it cost?

A remanufactured engine is around $4500 or more. You may want to find one out of the junk yard.

If you love the car and want to keep it long term, have the engine rebuilt or buy a quality rebuilt engine.
