Coolant system
I have a 2007 Mazda 3 2.0 motor it
was hit in the front end and the
radiator that was in it is no good so I
took a radiator from a 93 Honda
Accord and put in my car I used my
Electric fan only thing I need to know
is my factory radiator did not have a
cap you fill the radiator through the
puke bottle AKA overflow tank and
there's two hoses coming off the
factory one on my Mazda now I have
one of the hoses going to the
radiator of course the other hose
goes to the radiator but under the fill
cap on the Honda radiator I believe it
is a vent for the factory overflow on
the Honda but my Mazda has been
building up pressure and releases it
through the crack in the fill tank what
I was thinking is my car now that I
have put a different Radiator in it
does not have a vent to breathe I
have both hoses hooked up to the
radiator one going to the radiator
bottom hose on the passenger side
where there's a wife split so they can
hook in from the motor and the fill
tank and the other hose goes
straight under the cap for a vent I
believe should my system on my
Mazda 3 be vented to release
pressure or should it be a closed
system
