Fuel System
My 2013 Mazda 3i 2.0 L will start but runs only a
few seconds and stalls quickly. If you rev up the
engine to 4,000 RPMs and race the engine it will
run. But if the raps go lower than about 3,000 RPMs
in quickly dies-out. After putting in fuel conditions it
is easier to keep the engine racing and the engine
doesn't die out unless it gets below 2,000 RPMs.
After mixing in the fuel conditioner as racing the
engine for a long period of I was even able to put
the car in drive and drive about a mile until the
engine died out. I'm thinking I got bad gas because
the fuel pump is delivering fuel at a high RPM and
the engine won't maintain a normal idle. Any
suggestions? Should I drain the fuel tank and put in
a higher octane fuel? What about having the fuel
system flushed?
