Put in new engine, car won't start Audi A4 2007

Asked by Chels606 Feb 04, 2017 at 07:00 AM about the 2007 Audi A4

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently my brother had to drop in an
engine into my car, originally it would run
but the fan would not turn off.  He changed
the relays, but now it won't start at all.  He
is leaning toward me needing a new
computer says ... is there anything else to
look at before I dump more money into
something that may not work?

I would take this vehicle to an independent mechanic that specializes in German makes. Keep your brother away from it.

My brother is a private mechanic, graduated top of his class in engine repair and has been a mechanic for 13 years.
