2006 Equinox Burning Smell

I have a 2006 Equinox that sometimes has a burning smell that comes through the steering wheel. Any suggestions?

I had the wrong year on it earlier. Sorry!

Turn signal switch is common issue on 06, the plactic melts when the contacts overheat. look for discolored or malformed plastic, near wires and contacts
