Can I replace the saginaw 3 speed with a saginaw 4 speed in my 1969 firedbird w/ OHV6?

I need to replace both the broken 3 on the tree column and the saginaw 3 speed. I cannot find the column so I figure to to a floor shifter and 4 speed.

you don't want a sagnaw ! get a muncie or a T-10 and a floor shifter.you can find steering columns at hemmings.com.

year one has steering columns for $329.00 . by you can always find a used one for about $100.00.try specialinterest.com. do you already have a sagnaw 4 spd.?

you might need a new crossmember and driveshaft, but a gm 4 speed of the era will fit
