i have attached a picture of your impala hub assembly if you hear a noise that tends to get louder the faster you drive it could most definitely be a wheel bearing / hub assembly. it could be anything from a growl to a hum. try driving your vehicle at about 50-60 km/hr with no one around make a semi-sharp turn or lane change from right to left.. and then left to right. see if turning one way or another quiets or loudens the sound. if you turn right and the sound goes away or quiets then it is the drivers side if you turn left and it quiets down then it is the passenger side. For this job you will need Ratchet 3 inch extension 13mm socket 15mm socket 19mm socket 34mm deep well socket Thread locker #27 Torx socket or wrench and you should use a torque wrench for the reassembly If you need a step by step procedure as to the removal and reassembly please let me know and i will be happy to help you out.
