How do you remove the turn signal shaft?

When you say turn signal shaft are you talking about the lever ? The lever itself does not turn, there is a screw holding it on to the switch inside the steering column. If you do not have the proper tools to remove the steering wheel & lock plate , do not even try it ! Get yourself a repair manual at a local swap meet ,there is always somebody selling manuals for almost every car for cheap . Good Luck !
