Question type: Car Customization

Im looking to possibly buy a 1980 sunbird it is
supposedly has a 4 cylinder in it now im wondering
would a 455 or ls engine fit in it and if not what v8
would fit that makes a lot of horsepower and low
end torque. What kind of mods would i have to do
with the suspension ext thanks

Anything that wasn't the same block as the stock engine the car came with will require some modification - especially if you bump up to the big block, in which case you'll be modifying the suspension, brakes, subframe, transmission, driveshaft, radiator, wire harness and computers/sending units, and likely inner fenders and steering gear box.

BTW I believe the Sunbird is an H body? There are forums dedicated to the H bodies, you'll find lost of members there doing all sorts of things with their cars.
