2005 Astro no power from resistor to blower motor

Asked by Crystal Oct 21, 2018 at 09:49 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Astro

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Astro and nothing
blows from vents. I have changed
resistor and blower motor already. If I
jump the wires straight from the
battery then the blower motor comes
on but am getting no power to it
otherwise.

Note the diagram. Hi speed doesn't use a resistor. Did you check the two fuses? Not only check fuses, use a test light and check voltage on fuse circuit. One fuse is hot all the time, the other goes hot with key on. Could be other issues.

Did you figure out the problem with your astro? I also have a new resistor and blower motor and blower motor works and all fuses are good but there is a orange wire in the resistor wiring harness that is suppose to be hot all the time and mine is not
