Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 chevrolet astro van and my blower
fan is not turning on. I recently replace the blower
motor and tested it and it works fine. Also replaced
the resistor and got a used climate control switch.
I have seen online to test the wiring harness that
goes to the resistor and have done so and all the
speeds light up as they are suppose to but the
thick orange wire that they all say is suppose to
remain hot at all times does not light up but no
where has said what the problem would be if the
hot wire is not hot? Any ideas any help would be
greatly appreciated

I have checked the fuses and the relays and they are good .. but when I took the test light to the pins under the fuse the ac cmp (im guessing ac so set it to ac while testing it) did not light up and neither did the 30amp frthvac (in any temp setting)

So I forgot the 30 amp fuse under the hood is for high speed so I turned my knob to the high speed position and took the test light to the pins under the fuse and they did light up... so it's just that fat orange wire in the wiring harness to the resistor that is not hot when it is suppose to be all the time.. any ideas on how to fix that?

Also after I put in that used climate control switch and new resistor I still did not have high speed only low medlow n med high .. but the other day when I got new tires n a oil change the blower fan stopped working.. seems like everytime u fix something something else goes wrong!

Ok so I took a new wire and spliced Into the orange wire at the wiring harness and under the 30 amp fuse under the hood and now I have high heat! But not the other temps. So I'm guessing my resistor went out as well and will be trying to replace that later
