Asked by Brenda Oct 31, 2013 at 04:29 AM about the 2007 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

First cold spell and did not want to start, turns over, but would not start.  Went back 15
mins. later started.  A week has passed and it has warmed back up, but tonight it would
not start again, tried several times, 2 hours later, still nothing.

1. Lack of fuel evaporation due to being cold. Use starter spray. 2. Oil, Use 10 weight or less for cold weather. Higher weight for hot weather. 3.Battery works harder in winter, producing fewer electrons. All this together might be the issue. Garaging the car can help.
