Came out from store had no power whatsoever

My dad went into Walmart due to do some shopping came out and he had no power whatsoever he got a new battery put in still no power whatsoever what could the problem be he said the car was not acting up so this is all unexpected with no warning that he noticed

Make sure the battery connections are good.

Try it in neutral, sometimes park wont recognize as fully parked, most commonly due to loose shift lever bolt
