2007 Pontiac G6 running too hot and heat is cold

Here are a few thing to check. 1) check the cap 2) flush the system with a good flush 3) install a new thermostat 4) Check the pump to make sure it is moving water thru the system 5) you may have air in the system that needs to be bleed 6) Your vent line may be clogged 7) Check to see if the cooling fans are coming on when the car is at temp 8) clean the face of the radiator with a good heavy duty cleaning, it may be dirty 9) Make sure you have enough water in your tank, it may be low

I would start with the coolant level check. If your level is low your car will not have enough to circulate through the entire system and give you exactly what you are experiencing - a hot engine with no heat being developed in the heater box (and delivered to the cabin). If that is not the problem try the bleeding first and then progress to the other items "Joemom" suggested.

You're coolant is low. You need plenty of coolant so that when it gets hot it will run through the the heater core. Which is what heats up the air that the fan blows in.. make sure the car is completely cold, open up your radiator and fill both the radiator in the Overflow. If that doesn't work, then you need to do a coolant flush, and fill it all the way back up again. It's nothing major. It's definitely low on coolant needs a coolant flush. The cooling is what makes the Heat hot

Well if you loosing coolant and your heater isn't working. You have a bad heater coil. Depending on the car, they are a pain in the ass to get to. If it in behind the dash on passenger side, good luck. If it's under the hood passenger side, it not so bad. Just my ideas on the issue your having.

I flush my Pontiac g6 2006 and I bleed even bought a new thermostat and water pump and it’s still running hot all the way to 260 I dnt understand what’s the problem with this car

These cars are notorious for having air trapped when filling the system up. They have bleeders that will remove any air trapped in the system. If not that,the choices get progressively worse
