getting a creeking noise in the front end of my 05 AWD equinox. replaced struts, and lower ball joint. can it be they strut mounting plate?

can it be the mounting plate? everybody i talk to so far says it is...they say there is a bearing in there?

a similar thing happend to our merc when we had one it was some sort of bushing that made a noise sorta like and old door does every time you hit a large bump

I agree w/ David. This happened to my Equinox as well. The garage had to order the part & it got fixed 4-5 days later but hasn't made that annoying sound since.
