Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my ABS light comes on and then my brakes are hard to touch and then goes
to the floor  seems like it is not going to stop and then my steering is hard to
turn. I have taken it to a mechanic and he said my breaks were fine. I does
not do it all the time.

What kind of a mechanic is that to only check the brakes? He should have checked ..Master cylinder, Vacuum assist (if you have it) .. Brake fluid for contamination. Sounds like this guy did a "Walk-By".. You only get what you pay for
