Have the wheel bearing checked, if they are defective it will not allow the rotor to line up correctly with the senors...

Did this ever get solved? I am currently having the same issue in my 09 equinox, and I want to avoid any costly repairs that are not needed to fix this issue. Thanks for any info provided!

Did anyone find the solution to this? I have a 2012 equinox and its doing that exact same thing. Took it to 3 different mechanics including chevy dealership and they couldn’t tell me whats wrong

I took my 2016 Equinox yo the garage today with the traction control light on, abs light on and “service stabilitrak “ warning on as well as the “all wheel drive off” warning. It was a wheel bearing. They replaced it and viola!!! All the lights are off and it’s back to normal. $600 total but I also needed all new brake pads for a sticker which was an extra $85 each set for front and back and $93.50 per hour labor for an extra two hours.. the wheel bearing job was probably only $300ish

Just have the wheel hub assemblies replaced and it fixes the issue. The exciter ring part of the ABS system breaks and causes all those lights and alarms. You can pick them up and replace them yourself for as little as $55 each so all 4 runs about $220 in parts (or more for the higher-end parts). Worst case, you may need a garage to clear the code for you when done replacing them if you don't have a code reader.

We have the same problem and the dealership said it the module, $600.00. I’m not sure if they are 100% sure that will fix the problem.

I replaced the wheel bearing which was definitely bad but the ABS and Stabilitrak lights are still on. Do they have to be reset?
