Check out www.kia-forums.com, or take the keyfob to your dealership. In many cases the "factory supplied" programming instructions given to customers either don't work at all, or only work some of the time. The dealership can do it and also test your keyfob to make sure the fob itself is not the problem.
I went to one of the Hyundai Dealerships and I was inconvenienced! I requested that 2 remotes be programmed and only one of them worked after the work was done. The other had fallen apart and told them this before they did the work.Even though it had fallen apart, the remote still worked properly, before the work was done. They put an elastic band to keep the remote in one piece. To keep a long story short, I talked to an assistant manager who straightened this out. If there is an easy way to program a remote yourself that's better than putting up with employees at the dealership who don't care about your problem.I did a Google search for " Program Remote Key for Hyundai Elantra 2006 " but nothing came up.
