My Hyundai Tucson battery is draining daily.

Asked by TTFIO Sep 09, 2014 at 06:25 PM about the 2006 Hyundai Tucson

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I found that it has to do with the fuse associated with the alternator; if I pull the fuse at night it does not drain the battery.  I have changed the alternator and computer, but did not fix the problem.  Any suggestions.

This might be the same issue I'm having. Do you notice that when you open the car door after turning the ignition off and removing your key that the warning alarm comes on. Same alarm you hear trying to exit the car with the key in the ignition. If so, its an ignition switch issue. This drained my battery a few times before I figured it out.

I know this post is really old, but... am wondering if @TTFIO ever found a solution. I had a Ford F100 years ago that had similar issues and it ended up being a super easy fix. The starter solenoid needed to be wired to the fuse.
