Since people's definitions of classic vary widely, let's simply say "it's approaching classic status." Some folks go by the definition of the state, when it issues classic vs. antique tags. You can get "classic" tags here in PA at 25 years. Others go by sales, design, styling cues, etc. You might say that the 1959 Cadillac is "classic" because it represented the high-water mark of tailfin size and outlandishness. Then there are folks who think anything old is a classic. I had a guy try to tell me that a 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood was a classic, and should go to a collector. This with 80k miles on it. No. Adding these together, the Porsche fits the state age requirement, styling was definitely nice, so you could say it is now or is approaching a classic. Is it in the same category as the Porsche that James Dean died in? Not yet. But 20 more years and it might be a really valuable car.
