Depends on the previous owners! Once I worked though all the shoddy maintenance done previously, my 1983 has been pretty good. I had it leave me stranded once. Found shorted injector wires. Look at the wiring harness to see if it is showing wires(cracked). Lots of maintenance that is expensive to have done for you. If you like to work on cars, it is fun, but if you just need a driver and let a garage do the work, you need to be prepared to pay for it. I did the front seals/timing belt work myself. This is a major item for this car. $150 in parts...probably $1000 in labor in a garage. You just need to be aware that this model is a bit jealous of your free time or money! Once you work through the maintenance items, it is solid.
