car doesnt crank but all lights and everything turn on. just replaced starter, what could it be?

i have a porsche i have to spark it with the screwdriver to get the car to turn on and run. it
will drive perfectly fine although the battery light will stay on(bought a brand new one
yesterday) bought a new starter, still have to do the same thing to crank the car over. is it
the ignition. i turn the key no sound no click, nothing happens. only the lights turn on until
i go under the car to spark the starter. its an automatic.

Sounds like the transmission selector switch is not working. Car should start only in park. Or the ignition switch is worn. Or the battery needs replacing/charging. Or you've got a bad starter (it happens).
