I am looking at a 2002 Land Rover Freelander with 130k. Are they any good or should I look elsewhere for an suv

Asked by Jerry Mar 06, 2014 at 10:52 AM about the 2002 Land Rover Freelander

Question type: General

I have owned tow Land Rovers, a Range Rover and a Discovery, both were troublesome.  The Discovery's steering was just too heavy, both used gas , excuse me ,"Petrol" like I owned a gas pump.  The Range Rover had brake problems that were too numerous to mention.  So is the Discovery a better vehicle? .  The owner is asking $2.000 OBO

The Freelanders had numerous issues. I would avoid them if I were you. If you're not a Land Rover "enthusiast" I would suggest you avoid them unless you buy them with extended warranty.
