When I try to use an air compressor (mine, whoevers) the fuse blows, it's a 20 amp fuse (what was in it originally) why would it blow and would it be okay to try a larger amp fuse?

i dont know why it does this but i have to change it like everytime after i use it ......sometimes i dont... could it be a wiring issue? cuz the alarm is all crazy also...
