Car keeps blowing ignition fuse-How can I start it temporarily with a screw driver

Asked by rhinoman50 Jan 24, 2015 at 03:39 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu and it keeps blowing the starter fuse.  I think the wires
are exposed somewhere and have gotten wet as this happens when it snows.  How can I
start the car with a screw driver?  Is there a youtube video someone knows of?  I am
trying to figure it out as I know if can be done.

You can't start it with a screwdriver. It has an immobilizer to defeat just that sort of thing. The key must communicate with the ECU
