why does the speedometer stop working on a 2004 chevy suburban

Check the fuses to make sure the fuse hasn't blown. If that's not the case then either the speed sensor is broken of the wiring in the back of the dash is loose.

It could also be a bad stepper-motor on the guage cluster.

I have a Chevrolet Suburban 2000 and my speedometer just stopped working out of nowhere I can’t see my rpm, speed, gas, oil nothing the only thing that still works is my mileage I can still see that and also on the little screen on there when the truck is on it shows red battery and blinks to security over and over already tried a new speedometer didn’t fix the problem what could it be?
