Airduct hose

Asked by Inakisaenz Oct 01, 2017 at 04:53 AM about the 2004 Chevrolet Venture

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a chevy venture 04, when i parked it
yesterday it was running fine, now it wont start. I
also noticed a hose connected to the airduct
coming from the air cleaner and is near the
accelerator cable. The other end got dislodged and
i dont know where it goes. Would greatly
appreciate any help. Thanks

I'll assume it turns over but doesn't start , check for proper spark and fuel pressure , you should hear the fuel, pump prime the system when you hit the key , it's not very loud , some vehicles need the right fuel pressure , just having it won't do , if the "hose" was a problem I would think a code would come up

Use the hose to help you: how long? Any certain bends that would lead you to its origin? Take off engine cover and see if there is any obvious spots it could go? If you were talking multiple hoses I could see the mixup as to where they go. Look for a clean male connector end that looks like something just came off of it. Is the end broke off? So are you looking for the other jagged end still on something?

What engine? I just found lots of pictures online if you want a visual. You might even use a different model same engine and year to search these pictures. Worst case scenario drop by a junk yard or call one to see where it goes. NAPA has good software when you are looking for parts. Stop by and see if it shows where it goes.
