Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a dodge avenger 08 and my electronic
throttle control light comes on causing my car to
drive less than 10miles per hr.  Can I get a new
battery and just clean the throttle body to get my
car rolling again..money is steep at this time..

I replaced my battery and cleaned my throttle body and it didn't help. So far no one i know has been able to figure it out. Have you had any luck?

Car worked perfectly fine on my home from work (30 minute drive) parked it, went back out an hour or so later and it wouldn’t start. Made 3-4 clicking noises, electronic throttle control light and engine light were on. Cleaned the throttle body, checked all connections. I already have a newer battery. All electronics worked just fine. Randomly decided to disconnect the battery to reset the computer and hooked it back up. The car started right up. Turned it off and back on, still fires like a champ. Haven’t figured out what’s going on with it yet but at least I got it starting.....for now anyway.
