Benz Car not starting

HEADLIGHTS WORK. WHEN KEY IS PUT INTO
IGNITION, NO LIGHTS ARE DISPLAYED ON
DASHBOARD. NO ENGINE SOUND. COULD IT BE
THE STEERING LOCK. BATTERY IS NEW.
MERCEDES BENZ C220 CDI. PLS GIVE ME BEST

Here's what someone else tried: 1- Replaced batteries in smart key (no luck) car won't lock/unlock, key still won't turn. 2- Checked all fuses, relays, battery voltage etc... 3- New car battery, still no luck... 4- EIS problem suspected. Must go through dealer, as it is a Theft Related Part.
