I have just about had it!!! First my head gasket get
blown... I go to this mechanic and he put them on...
After he does the work, he recommend I get new
spark plugs.. I do and he put them on for me... I
start driving and car temperature immediately
rushes to hot within 3 mins of driving... He says it's
gas filter. Get one car still running hot. He says it's
water pump. Get one car still running hot.... He
take the sensor off of car and no longer running
hot at least I can't tell if it running hot.... Now car
won't reach 15-20 miles pH....hesitated really bad
and making rattle noise more like clanking
underneath Car..... Now he talking about I need a
new radiator filter....then he said the converter was
clogged from the oil and water being mixed when
heads bust and it was sitting for 6 months before I
did anything to it.... Somebody please tell me what
is wrong with my Car!!!!!! Thank you

That is the first thing you try replacing when a vehicle starts overheating.

Thank you... I'm going to try it... Now what about it hesitating to pick up speed???

When a vehicle starts to overheat that will cause the vehicle to hesitate and start to loose speed and will cause the rattling noise you hear because the oil has become overheated and thin causing the bearings to rattle. Once you fix the overheating change oil it has lost its viscosity.

So you don't think that it has anything to do with the converter being clogged???

Could be but really do not think so you can check for a clogged converter be doing this test at night start vehicle and let idle for 15-30 minutes then look underneath vehicle at converter if it is clogged will start to glow red but I am leaning more towards a stuck closed thermostat like I said that should have been the first thing to suspect when a vehicle starts to overheat.

Water pump or thermostat. I would suggest trying those 2 things first . I’m having the same problem and that’s what I was told . Let us know if it works .
