what is wrong with my car and why wont it start?

Asked by katiejoroberts11 Sep 01, 2015 at 11:22 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Malibu LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can be driving down the road, and all of my gauges stop working, but yet I can still drive. the power streering is kind of tough. but radio and everything else works while those things stop working. usually after this happens my car wont start after I turn it off. it is NOT the battery. when I try to start it. there is no turn over at all. radio still comes on but gauges all stay at zero. even the gas gauge will stay at zero when I have a full tank of gas.
