Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Daughters 2008 Nissan Ultimate started giving her  acceleration problems on
her way home from work she would press on the gas pedal and the car would
hardly move forward then drop the check engine light is on and she’s on her
way to Auto Zone to have a checked I’m curious she just had an oil change in
November they should’ve change the oil filter then so I’m guessing that’s not
the problem I’m having her check your transmission fluid as well There is a
part of her exhaust that has been messed up I think the converter not sure
what this calls dirt in the filter and could this cause the car to stop running if
she doesn’t get that part put on and could that part being in need of repair be
the issue actually it’s the Cadillac converter that needs to be changed out
could that just be clogged causing the problem Auto Zone said to put some
fluid they gave her to clean up the Cadillac converter in our gas tank and drive
around will  this be a short-term fix possibly

Scan it and check the code number at end of code will tell you what cylinder is mis-firing on a 2.5L Possibly check for cylinder misfire, could be a bad coil over wire and or oil in one of the spark plug chambers because of a leaking valve cover gasket. A common problem with this engine, bad valve cover design.
