Check gas cap/engine light

Asked by rdturch Aug 02, 2012 at 08:37 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My engine light is on and it says check gas cap. I have replaced the gas cap and this has not fixed the problem. Any suggestions?

Some vehicles have to have to light reset via the computer. Sorta like the Check Engine Light.

Go to any auto parts store have them clear it. If it comes back you probably have a small evap leak somewhere. These can come from anyplace on the evap system.
