The transfer case in my 03 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 went out and I don't know what's wrong with it. It is 4 wheel drive and has a 5.3 engine. Not sure about anything else since I don't know to much about cars. Is there anywhere I can take it and them tell me what's wrong with it?
To a chevy dealer or a good transmission shop they will give you information as to the cause of the problem and what needs to be repaired....
Transfer case could have a small leak (typical with the chevy) if you notice a bluish tinged liquid underneath the rear portion after its been parked a while then most likely the transfer case. take it a transmission place that is reputable and have them replace.
