truck not breathing right & lags

my 2003 Chevy silverado v6 4.3 has been driving poor lately it basically struggles to go past first gear and doesn't seem like enough air is being used because it chokes bad it sort of hick ups. Ive recently changed the fuel filler, oil filter and air filter  and changed the oil with royal purple 5w-30 and replaced all of my spark plugs and add fuel injector cleaner. the peroblem has gone from worst to bad

Need to check the fuel pressure, at the Schrader Valve, it should be 56 to 62 lbs. This is just a start.

Since you didn't give mileage I am assuming it is considerable... If you still have the stock exhaust, remove the caylitic converter temporarily and see if the solves your issue...

Good answer Restorations, another way to tell if the cat is plugged is to drive the vehicle at night and get it warmed up good, stop somewhere dark with the engine running and look at the cat. If it is plugged, it will be from slightly glowing orange to brightly glowing orange. You can't miss it.
